It will be a year to remember, crashing markets, property loss, leaders in the world trying to spend and spend again creating debts for the next generation to face and repay. Self funded retirees trying to work out “how much is enough” and more importantly for how long. It does depend on health not wealth as the greatest asset.   

Australia has a great need to unite, pull together and support our own. Kevin Rudd requires unity but as yet needs to earn it. He is on the way, he will personally pay a huge price, during his term as Prime Minister you will observe his “aging”. He was doing the right thing in Victoria with the victims of the terrible fires. Loss of everything and yes it is his responsibility to help and quickly. More time in Australia and less time on the world stage! Will help our country.

The new programme Sunday night ( Ch7) was powerful in that “Brit” was exploring the world and flying our flag a great example of our youth. Croatia was her undoing, she disappeared. The apparent cover up of her abduction, not a story that the tourist industry in Croatia would want to hear or have shown around the world. Yes we should unite to support the findings and “stuff Croatia” until they come clean and get honest.

Past months have seen my brother Leo die, Dave Atkinson, and several other friends, to balance our world population our Brit had a son, making 12 grand children see the photos on the web.

So what plans for 2009, yes the big event will be 50 years married September 12^th and yes their will be a party and yes the Band will play. Life should go on and on and on. Still more to do.
